Patrick was featured in Timber & Smoke No. 4 where you can see more of his work and learn more about Patrick as an artisan. When Patrick shared this piece with me, I wasn’t so sure of how I felt. However, upon receiving it, it is a fantastic pipe. The deep red and black staining present an almost blood-like color. The smooth rim is a great detail allowing some of that color to come forward even more. The most interesting detail though is the natural, blasted-briar accent in the stem. It is such a unique detail that adds so much to the pipe.
